VTAC advice on 15th January 2020
What happens now that January offers have been released?
If you have not received an offer, your application will automatically be considered for the next round of offers, released on 3 February. You may wish to speak to your chosen institution for advice on back-up options and pathway courses to add to your preference list.
If you received an offer, congratulations! Enrolment instructions will soon be emailed to you directly from the institution. If you don’t receive this email within a couple of days, contact them and not VTAC. It is a good idea to accept your offer so you don’t lose the opportunity. If you don’t accept, your offer will lapse on the deadline specified in your enrolment instructions and your position will be given to somebody else.
If you accepted a December offer and received a preferred offer yesterday, you can accept that by following the enrolment instructions - just make sure that you withdraw from the previous offer.
Regardless of whether you accept yesterday’s offer or not, you will be eligible for offers from courses that are listed higher on your preference list in the next offer round.
Change of preference has reopened for you make any necessary adjustments to your list, meaning that you can add, remove or change the order of your preferences. Changes must be finalised by 4pm Friday 24 January. Any course that you want to be considered for needs to be placed above what you have already been offered.
